This class is designed to build strength and core support in a low-impact setting. Derived from conditioning used by ballet dancers, Barre is focused on toning and building endurance in small, stabilizing muscles. Brand-new beginners are welcome—you don't need to have any ballet or dance experience to benefit from the workout and have fun. We'll work with movements that meet you where you are and develop deeper fitness from there. Barre is also known to be particularly helpful for injury prevention and recovery, as well as postpartum recovery. Each class includes thoughtfully prepared music playlists and sequencing to motivate, challenge, and inspire! In lieu of a barre, we’ll use the wall and chairs, as well as light (1-3 lb) hand weights, and resistance bands.
